Benedict Cumberbatch; My Favorite Actor

This time, I would like to talk about inspiring person. Do you have any?

Well, I have one. He's my favorite actor, Benedict Cumberbatch. For you who have watched Avengers frenchise, you might have known him as Doctor Strange. Yash, he is.

Born on July 19, 1976 in London, England, he has started his acting career since 1999. Pretty long, huh?

Physically, he is like a typical Englishman; white-skinned and tall (6 ft). Both his hair color and hairstyle change over time, depending on the acting characters he has to play; sometimes black, sometimes somewhat brownish; sometimes straight, sometimes curly.

Not to mention that, the most attractive physical features he has are probably his oval face and his sharp razor cheekbones. Meanwhile mainly, he is loved for his heavy baritone voice and his elegant British accent. The latters are what make me like him as an actor, too.

I started liking him since I watched his movie The Fifth Estate (2013), with him portraying Julian Assange, the controversial founder of WikiLeaks.

Though, his best work in my opinion is BBC series Sherlock (4 seasons, 2010–2017) where he portrays the famous eccentrict, private consultant detective Sherlock Holmes.

Beside Sherlock, his other famous portrayals are in Hawking (2004)—as theoretical psysicist Stephen Hawking;

All in all, not only has he been given many acknowledgements as an actor, he has also been known as philantropic and highly educated as a person.

Personally, with him widely being adored for his British accent, he has been one of my inspirations in learning English.
