How to Make "Terang Bulan Cokelat Keju"

Hello!

How are you? It's been a good day, so I hope you're good, too.

Today, let's talk about food, shall we? What's your favorite food? Do you know how to make them?

If you're asking me back, I might have one on my mind. It's not exactly my favorite, but I know how to make it. Guess what it is! Haish, you already knew—thanks to the post title 😂. Yeah, it's martabak manis or some people call it terang bulan. You must have ever tasted it, right? Never? Alright, you have. Do you have any favorite topping, then?

Sweet martabak—as sweet as who is reading this.

Anyway, if you like martabak manis, but haven't happened to know how to make it your own, you're lucky wkwk. Because, right now we're gonna learn together how to make one, maybe with the toppings that are easiest to buy—but tasty; cheese and chocholate sprinkles. Well, let's just get started.

First things first, have the tools we need to make a pan of terang bulan. We need:

Baking tools
• Gas stove
Baking pan
Batter container
Mixer
Batter scoop
Ladle
Measuring cup (500 ml)
Scraper
Cutting board
Cake knife
Disposable glove
Plate

And then, we must make the batter with the following ingredients:

Batter ingredients
Water (3 glasses)
Wheat flour (Segitiga Biru, 1 kg)
Egg yolks (2)
Sugar (¼ kg)
Vanilla essence
Baking soda (1 spoon)
Fullcream (1 teaspoon)

As for the topping ingredients, we need:

Topping ingredients
Sugar (1 teaspoon)
Margarine (100 grams)
Cheese (60 grams)
Chocholate sprinkles (½ kg)
Evapored milk (1 can)

Alright, all the baking tools and ingredients needed are already complete. Now, we can begin making terang bulan, starting off by baking the batter:

A. Making the batter
  1. Pour 3 glasses of water into the batter container.
  2. Add the vanilla essence, fullcream and sugar, then mix them with the water.
  3. Add the yolks. Mix again.
  4. Add the wheat flour. Mix strongly.
  5. After all ingredients have been mixed perfectly, leave the batter for 10 minutes.
  6. Prepare a mixture of baking soda and ¼ glass of water, then add it into the batter.
  7. Mix the batter again, then let it fermentate for an hour and ready to be baked.

Note : 1 kg of batter can make 6 – 7 pans of terang bulan.

B. Baking the cake
  1. Make sure the stove is on and the baking pan is already hot enough to bake.
  2. Take 500 ml batter by using the measuring cup into the dipper.
  3. Stir the batter by using the ladle until it's mixed enough.
  4. Pour the batter into the baking pan.
  5. Set the fire on high scale.
  6. Wait until the surface of the batter baked foams.
  7. Sprinkle a little sugar over the top of the foamed batter.
  8. Set the fire on low scale.
  9. Put on the pan cover over the baked batter, but give a little space open.
  10. Cover the baking pan entirely.
  11. Wait a second.
  12. When the batter has been completely baked enough and turned into a cake, take it out onto the cutting board by using the scraper.

C. Filling the topping
  1. Cover the cake with the baking pan cover. Wait for approximately 4 minutes.
  2. Wear the disposable glove on your left hand if you're right-handed.
  3. Spread the margarine all over the surface of the cake.
  4. Cut the cake into two pieces.
  5. Grate the cheese evenly all over the cake surface.
  6. Evenly sprinkle the chocholate on the top of the grated cheese.
  7. Evenly pour the milk all over the cheese and the sprinkles.
  8. Fold those two pieces of cake that are already filled with toppings.
  9. Again, spread a little margarine on the top of the folded cake.
  10. Slice into 10 pieces and put them onto the plate.
  11. Voila! Terang bulan cokelat keju is ready to taste.
